INCA JUNGLE TRAIL – ADVENTURE – MOUNTAIN BIKE - 4 D / 3 N
1ST DAY
We leave the city of Cusco approximately at 6,30 a.m. in a private mini- bus through the sacred valley of the Incas. We will go up to the pass of Malaga at 4350m.a.s.l. Here we will begin going down with our bicycles, going through different kind of landscape and vegetation, until the ruins of Wamanmarka.
We will take a brief rest to be able to eat our lunch.
The biking will take 5-6 hours to Santa Maria (1,350 m.a.s.l.) where we will spend the night in a local hotel.
2ND DAY
After an early breakfast, we will continue with a long hike through one of the old original Inka trail, where we will find an incredible network of trails of the old inhabitants.
We will be able to observe the variety of subtropical fruits and medicinal plants throughout the way. We will have the lunch in an house over there.The walk is about 7-8 hours. After we will be able to enjoy medicinal and natural baths in the town of Santa Teresa.
Here we will spend the night in a local hotel.
3RD DAY
After the breakfast we take a bus toward the Hydroelectric; after we walk until Aguas Calientes, where we’ll arrive after 3 hours approximately.
We’ll have our lunch and after we climb Putukusi from where we can see Machu Picchu on a mountain saddle further into the valley.
In the afternoon we come back to Aguas Calientes to have a shower and rest. Dinner.
We spend the night in a nice hotel.
4th DAY
After an early breakfast we walk up to Machu Picchu, where the sun will welcome us to the great Inka’s Citadel.
We start our visit with a 2-3 hours guided tour, that will bring us to the most important locations at the archaeological site and the guide will tell us about the great importance of Machu Picchu.
We spend the rest of the day in this amazing ruin and you will have the chance to climb Wayna Picchu or visit the beautiful moon’s temple.
We meet in the afternoon in Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.
From the train station we’ll take you back at your hotel.
