Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 01.- Transfer from the Lima International airport to the Hostal Bellavista - Miraflores. Ample accommodation with two beds per room.

The hotel is located in the modern district of Miraflores. Transfer time is about 40 minutes. The hotel includes breakfast.

Day 02.- This morning passengers will be presented to their exciting tour program and activities in Peru. The Lima city tour starts at 08:00 am. We will start by visiting Lima downtown, the Gold Museum and the Miraflores area. The tour takes around 4 to 5 hours. Lunch is at the Hotel. The tour includes a bilingual guide and tourist bus to take the passengers from the hotel to their different destinations.

Transfer from the Hotel to Lima international airport.

Afternoon flight to Arequipa. Domestic flight tax at the airport is not included.

Transfer from Arequipa airport to Hostal Las Mercedes. http://www.arequipahotels.net/hostal-las-mercedes.htm. Here we stay the 2nd ,3rd and 4th night.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 03.- Free morning. Afternoon Arequipa city tour. The city tour starts at 14.00. It includes a tourist bus, a bilingual guide, the Santa Catalina Monastery, Yanahuara district where you can take excellent pictures of the Misti Volcano, and return to the hotel. The tour is around 4 hours long.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruBack at the hotel passengers will be presented to their tour to the Colca Canyon. The guide will provide information about the tour, giving timing and details about it and answering questions you might have. Night at the Las Mercedes Hostal.

Day 04.- The Colca Canyon tour starts about 6:00 in the morning. Passengers will be picked up by the guide and a tourist bus will take them to the Chivay town located in the Colca Valley. Leaving behind Arequipa we drive along the El Misti and Chachani volcanoes. Later, on the plains of the Andes altiplano we will be able to observe South American camelids and a wide variety of birds. Along this scenic way we also see different snow covered peaks over 6000 meters including the famous volcanoe Ampato and we will drive over a pass almost 4800 m. a. s. l. This afternoon it is possible to visit and enjoy the hot thermal baths of Chivay.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 05.- Starting in the morning we visit the Mirador del Condor, which is a lookout point from where we can observe condors ascending from the canyon going up to where they can spot their food. Later on, we walk along the rim of the canyon learning how the Inca and pre Inca civilizations used the sides of the canyon as a laboratory for farming purposes and we will visit small villages for a moment to be part of the living culture here. Lunch is served in the open air. This afternoon the bus will return passengers to Arequipa city. Night at the Hostal Las Mercedes.

Day 06.- In the morning after breakfast the Hotel bus transfer passengers from the Hotel to the bus station.We take a tourist bus from Arequipa to Puno, this tour can be up to an 08-hours drive. In this journey we can also observe Andean birds, llamas, alpacas and vicuñas and halfway we drive along another big lake of the high Andes, Lagunillas. Transfer from Puno bus station to the Hotel. In Puno we stay at Hotel Embajador Puno. www.hotelembajadorpuno.com here we stay the 08th and 09th tour nights.

Puno is located at 3800 meters and is considered the capital of folklore in Peru. It is also the biggest city around the Titicaca Lake and most of its people are Aymara natives. It is from Puno where all tours to Titicaca Lake start from.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 07.- The Titicaca tour includes the shuttle from the hotel and transportation to the port in Puno. From here we will take the boat and begin to sail on the Titicaca Lake, the highest (3,821 m. a. s. l.) commercially navigable lake in the world. We start by visiting the floating islands of Uros made of reed mace, and mingle with the Uros people who live on the islands. We learn about their life in perfect harmony with the lake and the way they use all what it gives to them. Continuing with our tour, we leave the Uros and sail to Taquile Main Island. Here we take a walk on the island visiting the Taquile Village. On this peaceful island, dominated by tiered platforms, you can admire the beautiful textiles and garments while you watch the natives weaving. On this island we will also enjoy a lunch based on trout from the lake. Back in Puno, arriving at approx.17.00, our shuttle bus will be at the port waiting to take us back to the hotel. Night at Hotel Embajador Puno.

The tour to the Titicaca Lake includes a tourist bus, a bilingual guide, boat with capacity for 20 persons, a visit to the Uros floating Islands, a visit to the Taquile Island and pick up and drop off at the hotel. Lunch is included.

Day 8.- Transfer from the hotel to the bus station. We take a tourist bus from Puno to Cusco. This bus trip includes a bilingual guide and a buffet lunch in a small town on the way to Cusco. The bus ride can take up to 9 hours, and it will stop for different tourist attractions along the road including Sillustani ruins with its pre-Columbian Chullpa tombs, Racchi ruins also known as the Temple of the God Wiracocha and la Raya pass the highest point between Cusco and Puno where you have excellent photo opportunities. When we arrive to the Cusco bus station, a shuttle will be waiting to take us to the Hostal Sumac Wasi. www.sumacwasi.com here we stay the 8th,9th,10th,11th and 12th.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 9.- Free Morning. In the afternoon the Cusco city tour starts at around 14:00, including pick up from the hotel, a tourist bus, an official bilingual guide, entrance to the Cusco Cathedral, the Koricancha temple where we can see the architecture of both worlds, visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman (Satisfied Hawk) with its mysterious megalithic rocks each weighing approx. 125 tons, cut with such precision that allows for interlocking shapes and underground passages. We can also find the ruins of Quenco, Puka Pukara and Tambo Machay. The entrances can be bought with a multiuse ticket, but this needs to be purchased by the own user. The tour takes about 4 hours and a half. The bus will take the passengers back to the hotel. Night in Hostal Sumac Wasi.

Day 10.- Free day in Cusco. For this day we have many suggestions, as for example to take a rafting tour with levels from 2 to 4. You can visit the Temple of the Sun, the Plazoleta de San Blas and watch the artisans at work, visit the church with the famous carved pulpit, go to Hatunrumiyoc street with the stone of the twelve angles, the Church of La Merced with its famous Indian-colonial paintings, go to the witches market of Cusco, visit a school in Cusco or in a village outside Cusco, be a volunteer worker for a day with street children, etc.

Our suggestions maybe organized for a partner travel agency and it will have an extra cost. Some of our suggestions can also be done by the own passenger at its own cost. Night at Hostal Sumac Wasi Cusco.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 11.- This day we have a full day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour starts around 8:00 and it includes a tourist bus, an official bilingual guide, a visit to Pisac ruins and market (only 3 days a week). Pisac has the ruins of a citadel that connected the Inca Empire and Paucartambo or entrance to the gorge. Here you see water ducts and steps cut out of solid rock. There will be lunch at the a restaurant near Urubamba, a visit to the Ollantaytambo town and its ruins and a visit to the Chincheros market and its colonial Cathedral all in the Urubama or Sacred Valley. All entrances to the Sacred Valley tour are in one multiuse ticket as well but it needs to be purchased by the same passenger.

Return to Cusco around 18:00. The bus will take the passengers back to the hotel. Night at the Hostal Sumac Wasi Cusco.

Amarakaeri Eco Lodge - Cusco, PeruDay 12-13-14-15. – We pick you up in the morning from the hotel and head for Km 82. This is the initial point or entrance to the classic Inca trail to Machupicchu tour. Here the carriers and cooks will be waiting for us to begin the trek. The carriers will be the ones who will be in charge of all our camping equipment and the meals that will be served all during the trek. Spacious tents will be used the 3 nights of our camping tour. The Inca trail tour offers visitors a wonderful view of the Andes and a very good idea of how the Inca organization was. It will also show us the communication system that has been used since the time of the Empire.

While on the trail the guides will explain everything about the archaeological sites we will be passing. Also, on the second day we will cross the highest point in the trek which is 4100 m. a. s. l. known as the dead woman.

The 4th tour day, after visiting the Door of the Sun, we enter Machu Picchu. Here, we have around 3 hours of guided tour. This day we take the afternoon train at 15:55 back to Cusco, arriving ca. 19:20. Night at Hostal Sumac Wasi.

Day15.- Evening returning from the Inca trail tour. Transfer to hotel.
